Meeting opened at the Sea Dog restaurant in Bangor after the Memorial Day Parade. USSVI creed by Vice Commander Larry Ferrell, invocation by Chaplain Terry Schmidt. Tolling of the bells for three boats lost in May. We discussed every other month meeting in Augusta at the Legion Post on Rte. 17.

A new website is being worked on by Larry Ferrell and Brian Spaulding.  This effort needs to be coordinated with Don Demers who is updating the current website.

After that the next event will be the Potato Blossom Festival parade in Fort Fairfield, Maine on July 15.  While their website does not provide a time for the parade they do state that the parade lineup at your assigned location is at 11:00 AM.

The August meeting will be the Sea Dogs baseball game in Portland on Sunday, August 6, 2017.  For those attending who have purchased tickets, Chris will get the tickets to you in advance.  The game starts at 1300 but food service for us starts at 1130 and continues until 1400.  We can eat at the picnic tables adjacent to our seats or take food to our seats.  The picnic area with cover is available during the game.
