10:30-12:00PM   During this time period volunteers will arrange tables and seating for meeting

12:05 PM – 12:29 PM           Base CMDR Starbird, Sr. VCDR Ferrell & COB Cyr will stand by at entrance to meet incoming VIP’S w/ COB taking VIP’s to their seats. (Wives of any VIP’s and the inductee will have reserved seating in first row of tables on one side of main aisle in upstairs meeting room). This is to include any staff personnel accompanying senior officers.  Attending press will be provided seats on opposite side of main aisle in front row, with COB having a seat reserved for himself in the same section.

 12:30 PM          Call to Order      (CMDR Starbird)

12:35 PM          Call group to stand followed by Pledge of Allegiance.

 12:38 PM          Invocation by Base Chaplain Terry Schmidt.

 12:40 PM          COB Cyr called to Bell position for lost boat ceremony.

                           CDR Starbird, COB Cyr perform Bell ceremony.

 12:45 PM          Introduction of Holland Club Members in attendance (what it means to qualify.).

(1)        William F. Hale, MMOMM2 (SS), Member USSVI, first qualified 1951 aboard USS Sablefish (SS 303).  Resides in Augusta.

(2.)       Lyle W. Grindle, EM3 (SS), Life member USSVI, first qualified 1961 aboard USS Tiru (SS-416).  Resides in Dedham.

(3.)       James W. King, ETN2 (SS), Life member of USSVI, first qualified 1961 aboard USS Piper (SS-409).  Resides in Milford.

(4.)       Norman T. McLeod, MMCS (SS), Life member of USSVI, first qualified 1961 aboard USS Toro (SS-422).  Resides in Portland.

(5.)       John A. McCutcheon, EM2 (SS), Life member of USSVI, first qualified   1961 aboard USS Bluegill (SS-242).  Resides in Fairfield.

presentation.  (Congratulatory Letter)

 (C.)       Call Maine State Representative (Dist 57), Anna Blodgett, to make presentation.  (Legislative Sentiments).

1:25 PM - 1:45 PM         (F)        Call for guest speaker, VADM Emery to speak (20 Minutes)

 1:50 PM                        (H)        End program, serve ala carte lunch to guests (VIP’s, Holland

Club and Guests first in line) (Harris/Cockburn/Ellring).    NOTE:  Base CMDR Starbird may choose to present Longevity pins/Certificates during meal.

New inductees are welcomed aboard by members of the Holland Club

Time to eat and how many pot luck dinners have prime rib as its main course? (Thanks Eric, it was great) and a huge Bravo Zulu to all those involved in putting this excellent meal together. It was certainly befitting a VADM and a Governor.
